cranking issues

[93uglyranger]

im new to this so i dont even know how to post on the forums. so i hope this is right. im havin trouble with my 93 2.3l ranger. it doesnt wanna crank it takes about 5 or 6 trys before it fires up and when it eventually does fire up it hesitates really bad when you hit the gas. has loss of power too. for example i have to down shift on the interstate when i start up a long hill. any pointers to help me out?
