It was just a matter of time before it happened.

I got the Ranger stuck in a 2 foot snow drift. The Ranger was doing quite well for a 2wd, then I got guttesy and decided to try to drive through it. Made it one truck length before the chassis and axle bottomed out and I found myself digging. Tires found asphalt, but they were just burning rubber. So after a quick cell phone call, my mom brung the 4x4 Blazer to pull my sorry butt out of the snow drift. Took her a few tries, but she got the hang of it and we managed to my Ranger free.

Lol nice. Happened to me in my truck too. Mines 4x4 and has a bit more lift i think, but my tires are little 235s allseason with MAYBE 20% tread haha. I dug out infront of my tires and behind and usually i could get out no problem once i get a little rocking going... But since my ttires are near bald they couldnt get over the tiny rut the tires were sitting on. it literally only took some kid to push once from the backa nd my truck got going and went no problem lol

These tires suck lol After people were like "How the hell did u manage to get stuck in a 4x4??"... Now i gotta get my lift and new tires and show them whats what

My tires weren't bald. They are only a year old with around 5k miles on them. And they were getting traction. Just doesn't help when the chassis is sitting flat on the snow. Maybe if it was a 4x4, it would have been different. Luckily, I carry two tow straps in the truck for those just in case occasions.

Laying frame is laying frame, it doesn't matter how many you spin.

I stuck both of my 4x4 trucks last year the same way. Plain and simple there was no weight on the tires to grip anything, all the weight was on the frame.

Yeah...once the snow compresses, it's like rock. And if your frame happens to be sitting on it, you aren't going anywhere.

I had a similar experience with my old '93. It was in the mud and my rear diff was holding my tires up off the ground. My friend's dad came along with his Dodge..and all it took was about 1 inch and I had traction again. Embarrassing to say the least.

At least for me, it wasn't too embasering for me. In fact, my mom got a good laugh or two. Enjoying the view of her son, digging like a dog, trying to get his Ranger free. All she has to do is sit back in a warm Blazer and follow her son's hand commands. I should have taken more photos of the Blazer vs. snow anchor Ranger.

I gotta keep my pride. Its hard enough to be the only Ford owner in a family that only believes in Chevy's. Besides, my friends drive Hondas, Jeeps, and Chevys.

Hmmm, shovel? Next time, I'll bring a shovel so I can dig myself out.

I've had 3 wheels off the ground and gotten myself out before. It was close.

I've also had the driveshaft buried but wheels holding the weight, that was fun getting off of.

Im afraid thats what I will look like tomorrow or so. Ive been going a little crazy not being able to drive the Ranger.
