Has anyone replaced the fuel filler neck on a 98-00 Ranger 126" 4x4 Supercab with an aftermarket neck? There dealer wants an arm and a leg for a genuine part, and says that the filler neck is specific for the 126", and is NOT the same part as the filler neck for 112" and 118" wheel base models. There are plenty of "aftermarket" necks for 98-00 Rangers, but most of the sites do say 112"/118" and some do even say "not for 126". Does anybody know for sure why there is a difference, and what it is? I only need to replace the metal filler neck - the rubber hose and plastic vent hoses are okay, so I should be able to cut the clamps and swap the neck if I can find the correct one.
