There is speculation that the governor is trying to kill or delay the cracker plant. He hates the thing and didn't want it to begin with. All speculation though.

A little late for that now. We lost so many jobs here over the last 35 years that even the Democrats were grudgingly on board with it.

My parents were retired and are old as shit but are now working hard for you. They should be on an island but they are working. They said screw this, and went back to work during a pandemic.

This is for them, and the real people out there... doing what they do every day so we can survive and complain. Before you complain anymore maybe thank the people like them. Even the damn dude at 7-11 deserves our respect these days.

My wife, 68, an RN, works her shifts along with all our friends, mostly nurses, tech's, doctors, all whom are in their 60's. They all go to work, never complaining, to do their jobs.
Luckily our area hasn't been hit hard at all, but I still worry every time my wife comes home.
Everyday local restaurants or shops bring food to the hospital to show their appreciation.Just this past week, hundreds of pizza's from Dominoes, Pizza Hut, Little Ceasers, subs from Subway, Hershey brings boxes of candy and treats, Little Debbie the same.

Turns out the Texas hair salon owner that got arrested for defying the Governors orders and court restraining orders stage all of this. A patriot group created the GoFundMe a day before she reopened. They approached her to defy the governors orders. She wasn't a patriotic hero. She was doing it for money and publicity.

She got $500,000 from the GoFundMe, plus she had received a $18,000 PPP loan from the government. The attorney general even paid her $7,000 fine.

I seen a bit they did on the news or something... she was saying she wanted to be sure she spent the PPP money the right way. I wonder how she even got the money since she technically has no employees. She admitted on the show that she had no payroll in the past.

The woman had drawn a lot of media attention publicly disobeying guidelines and begging to get arrested. With all the support she was getting, Ted Cruz saw it as free publicity and a chance to gain voters. He probably didn't realize the shit he was stepping in.

Trump has been the worst for encouraging disobedience. The whole country is fawked up.

Last weekend shots rang out while Fort Worth Police were trying to break up a party of 400+ people in a park. If any of them come down with the virus it won't be because they're black, it will be because they were at a party with 400 people!!

The good thing is that none of this is real, and it's just a plot to keep Trump from getting re-elected.
