Coronavirus

I hope you guys buying Charmin don't have septic systems. We used to use it-until the septic backed up into my basement 2 years in a row. I had to dig up my tank one Sunday at about 2 pm after clearing the snow away, remove the clean out and scoop 8 five gallon pails of soggy Charmin out before I got the drains flowing. The stuff does not crumble when wet like it's supposed to, it stays solid and plugs up the pipes. Take a couple squares and wet them, they don't fall apart, it's like they're made of cotton.

If you run out of TP, do it the old fashioned way. Use a small cloth and wash it out after with soap and water...just like cloth diapers.
FFS!

I told the wife, I found three phone books, in the closet, so we're all set!!! :yahoo:---

Got hit right after that!!!?? Go Figure.

Just finished a trip to Staples--(they opened early for Seniors)-- Swung by Sams Club (the line to get into the store, extended out the entrance, and all the way down the building--didn't even park the truck), and Walmart was a bust-- I must just live in a area, with "lots" of people!

Time to go fishing!!!

Stores are still out of a lot of stuff here, too. I haven't even looked for toilet paper specifically. But I noticed the empty shelves in that aisle yesterday.

I made a quick run at lunch for some groceries my wife asked me to grab this evening on the way home. State governor put out a notice of a major announcement at 2pm, so I figured whatever it was would clog up the stores afterwards. For now things are mostly restocked, but no paper products on that whole aisle.

Hogan just shut down MD. I'm sure DC and VA will be right there too. Still doesn't affect my work.

You might want to check an RV dealer for TP. I buy a special rapid disolve Scott TP made for septic systems and RV's in the camping section at Walmart just because I don't want to go to camping world to get it.

My system was new in '12 but knocking on wood it doesn't seem to care.

I have cleaned the screen two years ago and there was virtually nothing in it.

Had our septic pumped and checked last year for the first time since we've moved here in 2002. They found the baffle had deteriorated but everything else was good. Not too bad to fix. We've used all sorts of TP but I've heard Charmin is pretty bad for a septic.

This virus is going to make the dumbasses of the world stand out.

The 24-hour laundry room where I live has been restricted to 7am-9pm. I asked why, and they told me it's due to the Coronavirus, like I was a dumbass for asking. I pointed out that they're forcing people to be in there at the same time due to the limited hours. They said it will probably close completely. Fricken dumbasses. I would think a laundromat would fall under an essential business. There isn't any employees in there. Just (4) washers and (4) dryers. Am I suppose to wash my clothes in the sink??

I have regular sewer line. My toilet can flush a bobcat! I wish I had septic though, I'm tired of paying sewage fees.

Eh, I would rather have a real sewer rather than septic.

Its definitely better overall, i just rather have one more thing "off the grid".

Its only off the grid for so long, the septic people don't just install them, they need TLC once in awhile too.

Mine was about $7k to install.
