Coronavirus

Getting #2 is a great feeling! I know two couples that have started road trips now that they are vaccinated. The end of cabin fever is near.

What he said! Had a slight achy-ness after #2 injection, but it went away after 2-3 days. Looking forward to family get-togethers. Praise God!

My 2nd one is a couple weeks away, 1st one was last tues, arm was a bit sore and I had body aches the next day. By day 3 I was back to normal. (well MY normal anyways) lol

I spiked a fever after my first, and was pretty sick after my second. Fever, chills that night, very rough next day. I also have covid early on, so YMMV. 100% worth it to me, and I'd encourage everyone to get one.

People have reactions to alot of vaccines. The yearly flu shot usually gives me a mild semi-cold for a day. Tetanus shots always make my arm feel like I was punched by bigfoot. I had to get hepatitis vaccines (thanks gross NJ restaurant) and it made me nauseous for 2 days after the second dose.

But I'd much rather have the sniffles, a sore arm, or a tummy ache than the flu, tetanus, or hepatitis. Same with covid. My buddy just had it and was on his ass for over a week. Bad cough, high fever, said he was so sore he could barely move and he is in his 30's and good health. I'll take a day or 2 of feeling icky from the shot over that...

I'd be curious to know which vaccine made people feel what though. My mom had the moderna and she got bad cold like symptoms for 2 days. My dad also had the moderna and had a cold and the squirts for a couple days. I had the pfizer one and my side effects were very mild. Just sniffles and the poops for like 8 hours.

That's the only downside, you don't get to choose what vaccine you get and don't know what they have until you get there.

You're more likely to get stabbed eating lunch in the Home Depot parking lot before buying a case of new furnace filters... just saying.

That’s actually very common in NJ.

Note to self... don't buy a case of furnace filters from Home Depot if I ever go to New Jersey...

Well my parents are old as dirt so I get vaccinated for the flu so they don't die, I work with metal so tetanus is mandatory, and I ate at a restaurant that caused a huge hepatitis outbreak in my town so that was kinda mandatory as well. I got the covid vaccine for the same reason I get a flu shot, so my parents don't die.

I wear my flak jacket at home depot...

I totally understand...

I just remember last time I said I got a flu shot and got sick as hell... you somehow turned it into the getting stabbed at a home depot nonsense.

My grandfather always reacted horribly to the flu shot, the last time he got it the thing almost killed him. Skipped it the next year and something that sounded an awful lot like Covid got him last February.

Covid vaccine is the first one I have ever reacted to. Typical stuff both times. Just got my second round yesterday and dragged myself to work.

It's illegal to blame me for things that happened while I was drinking...

I finally got scheduled for 1st shot, April 22nd
But...........big outbreaks going on up here(Canada) so "they" are saying the vaccines may be going to specific areas with higher case counts than my area
