Converting a 2 x 4 into a 4 x 4

snoranger, I got you covered!

All you need to do is take your screw and tap it into where you are going to use it with a hammer until it sticks straight out, then get a dremel tool and carve the | part onto the screw! once you are done with that, you can use your + bit to drive it in properly.

AJ

I'll try that.

I tried welding them together, but the stick welder wouldnt strike an arc. I may have to get that looked at. :icon_confused:
And we all know you cant MIG 2x4s together. I need a TIG welder!! :icon_welder:

This actually won't get you a true 4x4, as it'll be 3 1/2 x 3. You can however get a piece of 1/2 plywood or other material and sandwich it in between the 2x4s. You can nail or screw it to one 2x4 and then attach the other 2x4, or just hold it there until the nails get it.

Ok...I'm getting this really bad feeling that, sooner than later, someone's going to see a ranger with misc. wood planks and boards strapped to it driving around.

Sounds like something some punk kid would do around here. :annoyed:

There's a guy that took the back seat out of his sunfire and made a massive "sub" box out of plywood which extends from his trunk to the back of the front seats which renders the rear half of the car even more useless than normal.

He thinks it's the most "pimp" ride around. :icon_twisted:
