Convert power window doors to manual windows?

I have a first gen ranger with manual windows.
I want to replace the doors but the donor truck has power windows.

I sit possible to convert the donor doors from power windows to manual windows? What would that take to convert?

I believe you can just change over the window regulators. It will take a little time as they are riveted in place so you will have to drill out the rivets. Just use nuts and bolts to reinstall the manual parts.

I want to do the same with My power windows. My button for my power locks are still there but i have no power locks at all due to a short in both sides going to my battery. So i had to get rid of my power locks & the passanger side power window is very slowly not going up when i try to put it up on my power side door box & on the passanger side too. Will it be hard to do to convert from power windows to manual window.

Do the power windows work in the donor truck? Why not just hook them up and use them. I don't really know what it entails but i can't imagine its that difficult. Unless you just want manual windows, which i understand. Less parts=more reliable= less headaches. It just seems like a waste to waste perfectly good power windows(assuming they are good, i have no idea)

i swapped all my power internals to a manual door with no problem on my 01

wouldn't finding the same model with manual windows and swapping the whole door(s) be easiest? then just paint to match. just a thought.

Yes, that is actually what I am doing, swapping doors.
The truck has the 1 piece glass in the doors.
We really like having vent windows during the summer so I am looking to swap doors that have the vent windows.

Since I have 2 first gen RBV's ( 88 Ranger, 88BII ) I am trying to find a parts truck that has vent windows. but lately the few I have seen have power windows instead of manual.

Sounds like it should not be too tough to convert if I find another parts truck with power windows.

It is simple to convert. I also did it to my'01. Windows, mirror and locks. All you have to do is run power and ground wires. The hardest part is running wire throug the dash from the drivers door to the passangers door in order to control that one via the drivers controls.
