Until you know that China has been intentionally selling below spec steel to the USA, on purpose, in a wide range of products. Though props to them for being inventive enough to place back door chips on motherboards made to "spec", with a "speck" of their own:

Chinas good stuff is made in Taiwan. Made in Taiwan is up there with made in Japan or Made in USA.

China only makes so much cheap crap because we keep buying it.

As a welder/ fabricator, I will vouch for this. The difference in steel quality is very obvious. My local metal supplier gets its steel from USA and Canada, it is more expensive, but much better to work with/weld than the stuff from the suppliers that get their steel from China.

I put some Moog Problem solvers in my truck maybe six months ago. They look nicer then the OEM ball joints I pulled out, but the OEM lasted 90k miles. Hard to beat that.

If you have a big hammer, ball joint press, and an impact gun it's fairly quick to bang out the ball joints on the two wheel drive suspension. I'm sure the whole control arms are the way to go with limited hand tools. Would still want a BFH either way.
