Compressor Info Needed

I have a 2hp craftsman 26 gallon oil less and it has a 120/150 switch, 90cfm at 45psi. It's not about size, it's about tank design. Cheap compressors use thinner walls to cut costs, so 150 on a 110 designed tank would most likely bulge and rupture over time.

Yep....you have to be sure of the tank quality....

my 2 gallon unit is thick-walled --that's the only reason that I was willing to bump up the regulator to 150psi--it's been bumped for about 5 years.

(It's NOT thin-walled like a propane tank that people convert to 100psi air tanks)

Propane tanks aren't thin. I've got a 30lb(roughly 10gallons) tank as on board air for my truck, weighs as much as the tank itself on my craftsman.
