Misting water into an engine to remove carbon may actually rinse away a carbon speck or two - but over time it will add to the problem that this gentleman has with his Ranger I suspect --
Not true. Ever hear of water injection? Also, the truck has to be running for he water to work as heat is needed to convert the water to steam. This is an old fix that has been around for years.

That being said, modern engines do not accumulate combustion chamber deposits like the older carbureted engines unless there is a problem. Seafoaming, and all these other fixes are probably unnecessary. A look at the plugs after they have been run for a while will give you a good idea of what is in the cc. shady
