Complete Engine Harness, Ford or Painless?


It's only an opinion, but...

It doesn't matter what year harness you get. Decide if you want speed density or a mass air setup. ('87/'88 for speed density [except CA], 89'-'93 for mass air)
Plugs are irrelevant, as you will not use any of them.

Late '92 and '93 have a fuel pump relay in the harness, but they work either way. My ECU just triggers the stock Ranger fuel pump relay/inertia switch/fuel pump.

The Mustang guys freak out about "air bag" harnesses, but that's just a case of being too "clean handed'. If the hareness has any air bag stuff, it's unrelated to the ECU, and can be removed or ignored.
