compleckz's ranger build

Judging by your past and current posts, you sure are using your ranger to and past the limit!!!:icon_thumby:

Seems everytime you upgrade something, some other parts cracks, breaks, or explodes. The never ending search for the weakest link..........

I say if you want to go full-bore, balls-to-the-walls upgrade, go with BIGBLOCKRANGER's Rockwell axles:icon_thumby:, that way if you break something, you're on your own:D

You need to upgrade your joints! HAHAHA. I am running the stock shafts with the 760's in them and full circle clips, my problem is the hubs. I have gone through 2 hubs in the last week. They are so much easier to change than an axle shaft.

Yeah umm he is already running tackwelded 760s. The 297 was in there cause its what was in the shaft that I sent him.

And he didnt waste any time breaking it. :annoyed:

how many hub frags till the axle twists off?

just how many licks to the center of a tootsie pop?

best thing i did for my 35 was keeping it open and using brake bias.

yea, the last time i ran 297x's was.... stock.. not quite, i lifted it 6" and put on 33s, wheeled it and busted the front spiders, but not the 297s or axles..

then i threw the locker in, i did full-clipped 760x's, that just led to egged out shafts--in a few runs.. tacked 760x's last the longest.

best thing im gonna do for my 35 is sell it to someone else.

removed the light bar.. put a pair of the lights in the holes left by the bar..

i thought it needed a change, and the winch didn't fit with the bar on..

with the winch receiver-mounted.. obviously i can't wheel like that, but until i can fab a winch bumper, it'll do for emergencies. i've already used it twice.

Why can't you wheel like that? Just asking because I was planning on putting mine a on receiver mount as my permanent set-up so I can swap it from front to back and keep it in the toolbox when I don't need it.

Killer truck btw...

the receiver is really low, and the winch sticks out quite a bit, i would undoubtedly smash it and get hung up constantly..

this wouldn't have been possible..

winch would have been buried and the solenoid box would be very unhappy here:

.. so yea, rocks or dirt, you wouldn't want to wheel with the winch that low and stickin out that far..

Cool, thanks for the quick reply. I was wondering if that was it or there was something more to it...

Does your front receiver hang down below the frame or is it in line with it? Kinda hard to tell from the pics. I'm planning to replace the front cross-member with one that has a receiver right in it so hopefully that'll keep it up a bit...

I can only imagine the hours and amount of money that went into wheeling this truck.

For the first time I am glad my truck is 2wd.
