compleckz's ranger build

I have never had a problem with my D35, but you obviously wheel A LOT harder than I do. I tend to not bash things, but more take it slow and use the gears.

as tim said,

i've never had any problems on trails or in the rocks, the d35 mud plow always f's me in the mud and snow.. when i get stuck (always in the backyard), i tend to break things trying to get her out. i am always out alone, cuz its just my backyard.. i think a winch is the best mod i can do to my truck, to make the 35 last longer..

the trails around here generally have very minimal spots of deep mud, which is good, cuz i hate it.

on the trails i just crawl, barely need any gas (till the trans slips), but the 35 breaks in about 10 seconds when i'm stuck in the mud, forwards, backwards wheel side to side a bit.. an axle should be able to stand up to that, especially with only 33s and a slipping trans. im never giving it even half throttle when shit breaks.

once i conquer something, i look for something harder, i'm not satisfied just doing what i know the truck can do.. i think thats why a lot of people don't break things, they stay in their comfort zone. i don't go out and thrash the truck, or try completely stupid obstacles with it, but i don't drive down wet dirt roads and call it wheeling either.

Yeah the D35 scraping is kinda of a pain... I relearned that today, but luckily my tires didn't have enough tread to get me that stuck. :icon_rofl:

Yeah, but they're fun aren't they?

they're fun till either
a.) break a shaft

or

b.) SUNK to the frame, cuz i dug 4 holes instead of 2.. lol

Lol yeah. It's just embarrassing when your tires suck enough that you do a slow 4-wheel-peel up a slippery hill climb. Especially when an open/open Yota can do it on A/Ts.
:taunt:

You should switch to a set of 33 x 12.5 TSL's. I think they would solve a fair amount of the stuck issue. That truck is sweet and an SAS would be awesome too.

Very nice, I think you'll see great improvement. You may have to take it easier when you wheel. They bite hard. I need to get my mounted to I can take mine wheeling. I have a set of 31 x 11.5 LTBs. They make me happy just seeing them sit there.

so today i broke out the winch.. tim gave me a receiver winch mount last year, so i decided to hook it all up to get myself out..

got some cables made up, hooked it all up temp., pulled me out in like .5 seconds... so i have something i can use in a bind now, but eventually i'll have it mounted in a custom front bumper..

so i lost the left front bead, had to throw the spare on, and the left front shock bolt either broke or came loose, either way its hanging.. the front end was in the water overnight, so all must be repacked..

I think someone defiled your truck when it was out there with that Obama sticker.

your a mess.

I'm comming to wheel your backyard and show it whats up some day.

^^^^ I'm with him, seriously I wheeled the crap outta my truck on 31/33" AT's and all I ever broke was a stub shaft when a 200,xxxkm old U joint let go.
