Comfort Flashers - How to ?

so want wanna these installed on my truck. if your success full at getting this to work, post a write-up or submission for the tech articles. was going to install one of these on my '88 vw rabbit, but im selling it.

audi has had these for years. these actually work amazing and once you get used to them they make for fun highway driving.

OKAY... a little more Knowlegde know...

As I understand the wiring scheme, there a 4 wires from Hazzard-Switch to the Bulbs...
The switch get's a pulsed power from the relay, an only connects 2 of the wires (one front, one rear).

What I didn't understand:

The Light-Blue wire from the Relay got constant 12 V power, an starts to "interrupt" or "pulse" the 12 V, when the Flasher turned on...
How does this work ?

And do I need to connect the front- and rear-flasher seperatly ?

The flasher relay is a thermal device. There are electronic ones available but they work on the same principal, ie, they require a load before they will flash.

You should not need to connect front and rear flashers on a five wire rear as they are already connected.

Okay, Thanks a Lot to Martin !

So I found out how it works:

The Thermal Flasher Relay "stops power" shortly when "in use" and gives that "signal" to the switch (LB cable).
The switch is a mechanic only.
If you "turn left" it connects the "LB" to left front LG/W AND left rear LG/O.
If you "turn right" it connects the "LB" to right front W/LB AND right rear O/LB.

So I believe, I can't solve it with the Pekatronic Relay.
I wrote to the support, explanned that scheme, and asked them if they got an Idea.

Has anyone solved it here already with any other relay ??
