Column to Floor Shift?

I have a 2011 Ranger Sport and of course it is an auto with the column mounted shifter. How hard would it be to switch to a floor/console mounted shifter out of another ford product? It has the 4.0.

not hard... go find a console shifter, with cable, bolt it down, swap the cables, pull the shifter off of the column... if you really wanted, you could go get a new column cover from a manual so you don't have a hole...

just make sure the distance that the cable moves between gear positions on the shifter you pick up, is the same as the stock one
