I got in my truck friday morning and it wouldn't start because of a dying battery... it was -18 the night before. So i went to VIP and bought an optima red top 700 cca and put that in. But i think it was too late and the dead battery plus the cold flooded the engine and now the truck wont start. It turns over fine like it wants to start but it just wont catch. Ive replaced the spark plugs and sprayed some starting fluid in the cylinders but that didn't help either. I also disconnected the fuel shutoff switch in the pass. kick panel and cranked the engine without plugs and it shot out a good amount of gas. I did this until there was no more gas coming out. Anyone know how i can get this running? thanks.

On EEC4 and EEC5 vehicles if you simply crank with the throttle Wide open the injectors are "off" as part of an anti-flooding strategy.

You don't need to disconnect the fuel cutoff switch you only need to give it a sharp whack with a screwdriver handle.
