Explorer coils won't make much (if any) difference if you have a Supercab truck.

You'll be better off using the spacers.

Use the f-150 spacer on your ranger and this would be your cheapest option because you still have to buy alignment bushings and have your truck realigned..

Im putting 2inch spacers on my front coil springs for my '97 ranger....i realize i will need a coil spring compressor and i think external, but not sure? And any advice on this would be greatly appriciated. THanks

the spacer lift is going to have a very negative impact on your ride quality and trucks overall geometry. if you can't afford to spend a lot of money on the lift you ain't going to be able to afford gas after you put a set of 35" tires on the truck. just because something will fit doesn't make it good.

Spacers of any kind don't affect ride quality. All a spacer does is move the suspension that much farther away from the frame. Usually a small spacer has no negative affect on the geometry either, as it can only lift so much, its not like changing from a stock spring to a lifted spring (that will definitely mess with the steering geometry).

35's won't fit with a spacer lift anyway, unless you wanna just run no fenders at all.

For hummers maybe its a different story.
