2002 early build 4.6 4405 elc.shift transfercase.SORRY Explorer. 4x4 high flashes,front shaft wont lock.Has cm new moter.This prob. started after these parts were replaced.It came in with nothing working.And code p1824.HELP PLEASE!

Your 1824 code means there is a problem with the electric clutch that engages the front driveshaft. I went through the Ford pinpoint test and you need to be able to command the clutch on with the Ford IDS scan tool to verify that there is voltage to the clutch. Not sure how you'd do that without the IDS scan tool though unless there are aftermarket scanners that allow you to do it. It sure sounds like you have a bad clutch coil but you can't know that for sure unless you can verify that it is getting the proper voltage.
