clutch problems

Hi my 04, 5 speed has always been hard to shift into gear from a stop, but lately it is really hard. my wife used two hands on it today, so we bled the system tonight. it was a little better but not real easy.when you mash in the clutch and push the shifter up it will stop for about 10 seconds or so and then go in if you continue to put a good bit of pressure on it.

Welcome to The Ranger Station.

You probably have a bad slave cylinder (search term), meaning your trans needs removed to replace it. Pretty common.

Shut off the engine, THEN put it gear and restart it until you get it fixed.
