clutch master cylinder may be gone?

hey y'all got the $100 ranger running today,first try,but still have no clutch pressure.if it's not bled properly will I have no pressure or should I have at least a little pressure.I'm thinking I should have some and maybe my master cylinder is gone.the truck came with a new one but wanted a second opinion before I swapped it.

Air is FAR more compressible than the clutch spring fingers. Trust me.

If you can't bleed the old one and KNOW you bled it, bleeding the new one is going to be a problem for you.

Slave cylinders seem to go out more often on these then the master cylinder. Whenever I'm in the tranny for a clutch I ALWAYS change the slave. I usually don't have to change the master until it starts leaking externally.

swapped it

went ahead and swapped the master cylinder but still can't get it bled,read here somewhere to bleed it unbolted to get the air out of the master cylinder,basiclly angle in down from the resvoir and pump by hand so all air leaves the master.do I have this right and will it work .Or am I looking at something completly different.

Yeah, that has worked for some because of the angle the master cylinder sits at. Good luck!
