Clutch/Brake pedals

I'm late to this party so my input may have no value. I put a 2.8 from a Capri in a Toyota Hi-Lux pick up years ago. I had to cut the pocket that the clutch cable seated in from the firewall of the Capri and pop rivet it to the Hi-Lux. I don't remember what the toy had as original linkage; cable, rod or hydraulic but I cut and welded the pedal from the Capri to the pedal of the Toy. Oddly, the biggest problem was finding exhaust manifolds. Had to use a Mustang 2 passenger side manifold on the driver side to clear steering box. Took a lot of coat hangers to fab up the system. 10 years and about 250k miles and a convertible top kit later the truck died of rust
