I am at my wits end from staring at the Chilton cr@p manual and was hoping for some advice on where to start my diagnostic quest.

I have had my 1993 3.0 Ranger sitting in my driveway for a couple of months. I hooked the battery up to a trickle charger last night. This morning I was hoping to get it started and do a tune-up on it but it will not turn over. When the key is turned i hear a click up front and that is it.

any suggestions on where to get started would be greatly appreciated. Distibutor, ignition coil are two I thought of but I do not know how to evaluate if they are the culprits. My search online and through the Chilton has left me :pissedoff:

Greetings to this forum and its members. I look forward to your advice

First thing to do is to put another KNOWN GOOD battery in there.
