I had what I think is a clever idea, Ever had those stubborn drive shaft bolts that just wont come loose? I did this today,

A note to anyone trying this, Use a cheap wrench, This will bend the wrench pretty good I feel its better to wreck a cheap one

Or use a craftsman and return it for a new one once the jobs done

if thats the first time you have had those bolts out, its the thread locker causing you trouble. a propane torch will make quick work of it.

you know your better off using one that will bend(a cheap one) than one that is stronger. the one that bends wont snap or shatter unlike the stronger, more brittle wrench.

just though id throw that in here.

Ya I would love to live outside of the rust belt, or even somewhere that uses sand during the winter instead of salt.

I live in Ohio and I don't have that much rust on my stuff. But then again, I've had the rear driveshaft out of the B2 about 5 times in 6 months. The bolts never have a chance to become stuck.

I just use my 4lb hand sledge. Havent had one stay on there yet. (Its a real impact wrench )

New Mexico may suck in nearly every other aspect, but the one good thing is that our autos don't rust. My uncle has a 1959 chevy that has never been under a garage, and it has less rust on the whole thing than that driveshaft in the picture has on it! Original paint too.

a little heat on it and you could remove them by hand with any kind of wrench/ratchet.an impact is ok if it aint so rusty,i would be worried about snappin them buggers, that rust is crazy.i see you are using good old Cambodian tire penatrating lube LOL.
