I have seen a few pictures of 89-92 rangers with clear corner and parking lights, and they are not the one piece combo ones for 150$ on eBay. Does anyone know where to buy the clear corner and parking light/housing?
Thanks.

The DOT has deemed completely clear corners non-compliant. Good luck finding some with DOT markings.

To be compliant, the reflectors in the lens must be amber at a minimum. I ran across that with my ‘98. Since they had the DOT stamps, I just let it be.

D-oh-tee, shmee-oh-tee. Run em anyway! Lol. And I bought mine used at the swap meet, but I’ve seen new ones made by Dorman online.. can’t remember where though.

I live in south Florida, DOT doesn't care about anything down here. I'll check Dorman. If anyone has an actual link or website that would be awesome. Im deff going to run clear lights if I can find where to buy them. Thanks for the info.

Usually. As long as you run amber bulbs. You’re ok. Doesn’t mean you won’t find a prick cop. But most of the time that’s all they care about

We have inspections in Va (for now, I governor wants to get rid of them). They will allow clear lenses IF you have a amber colored bulb like you said.

I'm also in Florida, north Florida, and see clear corners on all makes and models. Those 2nd gen Rangers look with them. I actually have some for my 01 Ranger. Yet to be put on.

I live in Oklahoma and haven't had any trouble with clears on my Ranger or Lightning. And my Mustang has all smoked lighting with leds in the tails and third brake lights. I have no reflectors at all in my Lightning and Ranger. Never been stopped once. No inspections here either. Yeah, the Mustang has reflectors behind the smoked lenses up front. Those were originally lights, but the new assemblies don't have a place to plug a light in. I'm good with that.

Oh dang it! I mentioned the "L" word again! At least I brought the Ranger in as well. I also get away with those "Show Only" tinted license plate covers on all my vehicles. ;-)

Well, I’m certainly not gonna snitch but I do want the OP to go in fully informed. PA still has state inspections and some of the garages actually know about it and won’t pass the vehicle if there isn’t any DOT markings. The police is another story, most won’t care. But, if you can find a set with the DOT markings, you have a leg to stand on and fight it.
