cleaned engine today... now won't start... coincidence?

Glad to hear you got it fixed... like I said, been there about five times now. I need to relocate my relays into the cab or something because they get wet. My wiring is a mess and is just zip tied to the inner fender so these things happen to me a lot.

yes, having them somewhere more safe would be really nice.

any way you can house them in a water proof seal or something?

I have thought about dipping them in rubber tool handle coating (Plasti-dip) but that still wouldn't seal them completely. At this point it looks like we are stuck with either relocating them or just trying to keep them dry.

yeah i mean i should be able to wash my engine again, if i need to later, because now the relay is located where it should, under a protected area.

if anything, could you not unplug all your relays and keep them outside while you do it? and then wait a couple of hours, or maybe just an hour in the sun, for the connectors to dry (IF they got wet) ?

Yeah, you definitely could do that.

but like i said, i should be good now... learned a bit through all this

and ended up with a haynes manual.. (which can never be bad :))
