That is a roll pin, NOT a bolt. You need to completely remove the carrier and punch the pin out to get the center pin out.

Any idea. Also the bolt thats the coil spring bolt to the beam, not the top one but the entire two way bolt. I had to buy a 1 1/8 deep to get the coil out but offcourse the bottom one is a different size

Nevermind. It was a 1 1/8. But my deepwhel is to short. I guess I'll have to go buy a regular wrench and attempt to get it loosened. I did get the bottom loosen on the passengerside and holyshit those are on there tight.

Got the front axle torn down besides removing the 3rd memeber. And all I can say is they are a bitch to remove the radius arm bolts when not on the vehicle. Had to put it under the 8.8 sitting on the floor put a 80 pound cynderblock and a 160 pound person while using a 5foot pipe.

Ended up having to cut the top double sided bold to get a socket on there. So now I have to buy new ones from broncograveyard.

Also on the bottom bolt on the driverside I snapped the welds on the bold on the inside of the beam. I got it a 1/4in out and snap. I'll just nut and bolt it.

I broke a total of 7, 1/2in rachets trying to remove the bottom bolt.

Started wire wheeling the driver beam and couldn't get the real rust. So i went and got some flap wheels from HF that did the job. Only got the top side between classes. Going to get the rest and the other beams and knuckles tomorrow.

Gears are also coming in tomorrow!

Just ordered all MOOG ball joints, tie rods, camber bushings, coil spring isolator, timken wheel bearings and seals from rock auto.

Axle pivots,coil spring stud and nuts, and radius arm bushing from Broncograveyard.

Man i'm spending a lot in a short amount of time.

I'm just keep thinking if I buy it now or later it's the same amount.

On a good note, I was looking and the junkyard only charged me 4 dollars by accident on one of my axles.

On the hard to reach parts of the axle, there is some stuff called "The Works", it's toilet bowl cleaner, but it will eat rust like no other stuff I have seen, just don't use it on other metals.

Give it about a hour to two hours to work. on really heavy rust, let it work over night.
