Anyone have a good source for color matching OEM style christmas tree fasteners... I thought AutoHaux was gonna be the ticket based on their excellent selection, but my first order was a total bust. I am looking for the 24mm head interior trim fasteners for a 2007 with interior code SF (I think that is Dark Pewter from research), and don't really want to spend $20 for a can of plastic spray paint only to have it flex off during install. Specifically the PO of my vehicle pulled the trim out for some reason destroying several clips and after replacing the carpet (it was destroyed and missing the whole jumpseat/ back area) now that is the only eye sore from an otherwise pristine interior.
FWIW, I ordered Autohaux 24mm head in dark grey but it was about 30 shades lighter than the interior and OEM fasteners (i have a few of those left still in the '07 truck).

AND

Since I have eyes on this thread I'll ask a second related/unrelated question.
anyone know the dimensions of the Door Panel Fasteners for a 2nd generation (or 1.5 generation if you call it that - a 1990) - from LMC's blowup here:
it is schematic highlighted as #12, part number 40-0793
I don't want to give those guys nearly a $1 a piece (after tax/title/license/dealer handling/deliver/shipping/and state e commerce fee) considering the ranger has like 15 of the things holding each door on. I prefer to get them from china $1.50 for a bag of 50 (If I know the dimensions).
If I had one myself I would measure it, but the PO of this vehicle pulled the door panels off to tint the windows and run speakers in the door then put random (too small) ones he could buy at walmart so all mine are toast/trash/useless.
I think these will be close but why waste money on a guess if someone can come up with the dimensions easily.

my son gets those christmas tree fasteners off amazon. he has gotten them in the color of his focus st

FYI, I think I found the answer to my 2nd question, it took a trip to the 'yard to get a 30 yr old OEM one, and then measuring and googling and goolging and googling, but part number
N801925-S
appears to have all the right dimensions and once you have a part number it is easy to find for both a high price:

and a reasonable price:

While this still doesn't answer my 1st question.. I have found out that a 2008 Focus with "dark grey" interior (at the 'yard ) does not have the same color, nor a mid 90's explorer with "dark grey" interior (the x-mas tree fasteners were all black). Believe it or not, those were the only two Ford's with dark grey interior... 90% were tan, and the other 9.9% were light grey.
