Nothing new there, when in Bejing, you will see Explorers all over the place - identical, but no Ford emblem. The Chinese have no concept of a patent, nothing like that exists in thier culture.

The Chinese automaker Chery, wants to come to the USA, they submitted a car & SUV to the DOT for approval. DOT noted the SUV was an exact copy of a 10 year old Toyota Forerunner. The vehicles were not approved.

They do import a lot of smaller offroad stuff.

Knockoff Ford tractors and Honda dirtbikes/ATV's/power units... tweaked just enough the original parts (the guys that actually designed it and have a dealer network) don't work and whatever dealer spewed them out closed after a couple years... fun fun.

they should have atleast copied the 2.8 motor it has more power than that puny diesel engine.then the chinese could get info from trs to duraspark em and get rid of the feedback carbs.

I'm sure 100hp is enough in China where the roads are choked with roto-tiller Cadillacs, donkey carts and families piled on mopeds, but this isn't China.
