Duh.....
Well I figured out what was wrong today.
The belt I have is for a Ranger 3.0 WITHOUT A/C.
Not sure whether it was my mistake or the sellers,
but I have a new Gatorback ordered.
Just for reference, the Gatorback part no. is 4060882
(with A/C), for the later model 3.0s. The belt is 88 7/8 inches
in length.
The A/C delete belt is 85 ?/8 inches in length.
The belt length will always be stated in the part number
in some order, as will the number of ribs (6).
