Its alright, you know more than I do about chevys. C10 was my first guess. Is there any way to comfirm that it is a 700. Like the bolt pattern of the transmission pan, or the tailshaft. Something specific.

The 700 pan is a rectangle with no odd angles in the pan.
The TH350 has a vacuum modulator. The pan is square with one corner chopped off.
The TH400 has a pan shaped like Texas, just stretched from top to bottom.
