Checkin out a donor in a few days, what should I look for?

I was talking to you LittleBig. Sorry, its just sickening to see these old beasts get ripped apart like this, no offense, but i wont be following a buildup thread.

its either get torn apart and recycled on someone else's rig or it rots in a junkyard until its crushed into a tinny metal paper weight. personally id rather see it live on in his build up thread. ill stop in for a peak from time to time.

Hows about this, I'll save the badges and find a sexy place to mount them as a tribute to the fallen bronco

Now that i have taken a thorough beating for giving my opinion. Let me say this. From the pic provided, it doesnt seem to be all that bad. Now while the actual problems are many and quite involved to fix, with the right person, the beast could be resurrected. I will agree that salvaging parts from something as far gone as the description given, it makes sense. And so i would like to thank everyone who ripped me a new @$$hole for not knowing the extent of the problem. I mean heck, my 78 has worn spindles, rusted fenders and cab seams, a rusted beat up bed, a bumper with bolts missing, backup lights that dont work, a bent frame, and more problems. And if i went by all your logic, i should scrap the frame and body and use the pieces in my bronco. I will agree its a heck of a buy, and for the purpose it shouldnt be passed up. But im a big fan of the old rigs, and i just prefer to see them fixed rather than disected. Im sorry, but in my defense, i didnt mean any offense.

No problem fordwheelinman

I actually feel a little bit bad, but this is the way it's gonna be.

I did pass up parting out a 78 that was still running, no rot, beautiful truck. The guy bought it as a parts rig for his ride and didn't end up using it.

If it's still for sale when I'm done with the ranger i'll take it and cherish it.

And yeah, I guess that was a little un-cool not mentioning the problems up front. My bad
