Sigh, the PO of my truck was rather stupid. I'm running a 4" rough country lift (PO had it done) with standard length brake lines that are looking worn and kinda short on slack.
Now Rough country doesn't mention having to replace them in thier literature, but IDK if I'm going to take their word for it.
The PO also put the lift on old bushings... so quality of work was not his mechanic's/ his forte.
I don't care about steel brake lines > just dollars and cents.
What are the cheapest lines I can get to match the travel (note: I don't have time to move the steel line mount in the coil spring tower and I'd have to buy lines for that hassle anyways).
Will stock f250 lines from a 91 work? I want something I can order for $20 -4-2 special.
I'I'll change rubber twice... if the truck last that long... rather gladly and it's still be cheaper than $100 stainless
Most the old threads are about steel this, cherokee lines MIGHT fit that. I'm looking for a bit more "shut up and take my money" kinda advice.
Just what from experience works and doesn't. I also can't sidline the truck to get to the hose guy. DD here.
The tech articles list a way by BOB but do I need a T fitting? things are out of date http://www.therangerstation.com/tech_library/ReplacementBrakeLine_Front.shtml
