Chasing an oil leak

I have been chasing an oil leak in my truck for long time and think i have it down to where the camshaft synchronizer meets the intake manifold. I was thinking about putting a bead of RTV on the manifold where the two meet. Does this sound reasonable?
I changed the synchronizer on the truck in 2011.

If you really think it is the cam synchro pop it out, check the o-ring and if it isn't torn apply a light coat of RTV around the ring and let it set up for 20 minutes before starting the engine.
