Changing Metal PS Lines?

I have a '97 Ranger XLT manual trans, no A/C. It is hosing power steering fluid out of a pinhole leak in the short rusted metal line that goes from a fitting/box with some sort of sensor attached down into a steering box (don't know much about PS systems). Quick question is, is replacing this line a complicated / difficult proposition? Can it be accessed from the wheel-well well enough to be changed? (Looks like a lot of stuff would have to be removed to do this from the top.) Any insight appreciated.

through the wheel well is definately the easier way to access it. it takes alot of time. 2 years ago, i had my powersteering lines done. it was about $300. only $20 of that was parts. 96 ranger btw.

as far as difficulty, its a royal PITA but not techinically difficult.

it is not something that will prevent it from passing inspection as long as the leak takes a couple days of regular driving before needing to be topped off. if thats the way it is, then just let the next owner deal with it.

Thanks metalmac. I fell better about this now. Unfortunately, it is HOSING fluid out, and needs to be replaced ASAP. I ordered the part yesterday ($75!).
