Changed the O2 sensors now it won't accellerate


bosch, theres the problem...

no the check engine light doesn't always come on

Thanks for the links! I will admit when I'm wrong on something, but I'm not ready to do that yet! One thing you are missing, to pull air into the sensor element between the conductor and insulation of the wire, the pressure at the sensor element has to be lower than ambient. Unless there is a venturi tube built into the sensor element, the pressure at the sensor element will always be higher than ambient with the engine runing.......I'll check on links to back this up.....
 
O2 sensors "pump" o2 molecules in the process.

and another thing that might blow your mind.. O2 sensors don't EVEN sense oxygen, but thats a whole other topic.

I was WRONG!


However, there should not be anything wrong with the Bosch O2 sensors the OP used, Bosch makes OEM Motorcraft O2 sensors.....
