Ok so i bought a cable to fix my speedometer and it works again but the needle still shakes while in use... So any ideas?

Any wear on the tranny side of the cable's gear?
The one on the sensor that bolts into the tranny?
They are <$10 @ Ford.
If it isn't that little gear, it must be the cluster.

I just changed it yesterday and i didn't see any wear so i guess it's the cluster... my friend has a junk ranger with the cluster still in it but it is a 4 cylinder 5 speed and mine is a v6 auto so do you think that i could use that speedo?
