Change tires for better gas mileage

Oh and By the way guys, In Nevada the Speedlimit on the highway is 65 mph, and in some cases 70. Barly any of the highways here are under 65...

Alot of the speed limits are 65 here but I just go 55. every section that is 65 is a 3 or 4 lane road anyways so they can pass me, Besides a speed limit limits your top end not they other way around, just because it says 65 doesn't mean you have to be going 65. hahaha

I would never inflate a tire past the recommendation in the door.... You are asking for trouble there.

as long as you dont exceed the max pressure listed on the tire id think you would be o.k. sure you would wear down the tire unevenly, the center before the edges. sometimes you have to adjust for the load involved. if im running empty i might be running 30 psi in the rears, but if im loaded heavily, i'll pump them up to about 40. i hate having that squishy sidewall feeling when loaded. likewise running with full tire pressure when empty will cuase the ride to be a little rougher and you can get tire damage when you hit a pothole by the tire not being able to flex. i typically run more tire pressure in the winter due to air pressure dropping when it gets cold, and i carry about 300 pounds in the back when theres snow out.
