Center Hubcap issue

I have a 2001 Ford Ranger and the rear drivers side center cap recently broke and would not fit back on due to the plastic breaking inside some of the spaces. I ordered some from hubcapzone and when they came today I find that for some reason none of them will fit on the rear tire. I can take one of the newer ones and put it on the front tire just fine, and I even took one of the originals from my front tire and tried to put it on the rear and that would not fit either. I am at a loss as to what is going on and why nothing will fit. The only thing I have done recently was put slightly bigger tires on my same rims but the original cap was fitting just fine till it broke. Any suggestions or help is greatly appreciated.
