I have a reg cab 3rd gen Ranger that had a 60/40 seat configuration. I took the drivers seat apart, cut the "20%" out, got a cusion from a passanger seat and put it back together. Now I have bucket seats, and I would like to put a center console that bolts to the floor between the seats.

The question is, What to get the console out of? I was loooking around at the junkyard and stumbled upon a 94 exploder, I like the way it looks. I also considered making my own using some fiberglass.

I was wondering what yall had done though. By the way I have a manual so I am looking for something that stops at the front of the seats. If anyone has pictures of what they have done that would be sweet.

You could use an Explorer or Ranger console, and they should be almost bolt in (that I know of).

You could fab your own if you wanted to, there are a few threads on here of different ones people have made (I think in the "Show off your truck section" or construction one)

Hazmat has one in this section, of all places:

Thanks Triumph . . .

PlumCrazy - Constructing one has many benefits, you get what you want and the satisfaction of telling everyone - I DID IT! My console goes all the way under the dash and has a 10" sub, but a shorter version would probably be easier to build and could incorporate front and rear flanges to bolt it down securely.

Good luck man . . .
