Center Console Fuel Light Stays On.

I have a 1986 Bronco II. The LED in the center console stays on. I replaced the sensor in the center console but didnt work... replaced the fuel pump assy (becasue i needed to) and its still on... I ran low on gas one time and when i filled up it decided to remain lit... any ideas???

My be a short in the wires making the light always stay on, had the same problem in my 88 TC...

Where abouts was your short at in the wiring??
