Cell phone won't charge

I've got a lg vx8350. It doesn't like to charge. Its only a couple of months old. If I plug it in it will sometimes charge, or it will start to charge but stop after I'm at 2 bars or so. I've thought about dielectric grease but I don't have any at the house. Anyone heard of this problem or a solution?

Your charger might be junk. Had that happen with my LG car charger.

I have an LG AX8600 and I am NOT impressed with it at all. I paid $200 for the thing and I had to replace the battery when it was 7 months old. The extended life one I bought is wearing out now too after about the same amount of time, I'm glad I only paid $12 for it on ebay. The hinge on it sucks and moves a lot. It has a huge delay receiving text messages (though that may be the service). Its a little over a year old and I'm so sick of it.

My last phone was a Sony Ericsson I paid $50 for and it lasted 2 1/2 years with absolutely no problems, and I beat the crap out of my phones.

could be that the jack is breaking away from the board,i see it alot.

i sell batteries and chargers at my store so i see a butt load of phones everyday.

I have had the phone open looking for a problem. Would the jack breaking away from the board be somewhat obvious?

thats why i got theft insurance on my LG Ax260. when it goes bad I just throw it was and get a new one..... on my 2nd one right now....... not very sturdy

I have had the phone open looking for a problem. Would the jack breaking away from the board be somewhat obvious?

i just plug a new charger in and very gently move it around and watch the battery meter.
not to high tech of a test but it works.

I have that phone!

I love it, it works fine for me.

With the connecting parts on the inside, I had a samsung, and I had to have it replaced 3 times from that separating. Ugh. It was so annoying.

Could also be the battery is pooched...but I'd try a different charger...are you using the A/C or DC charger? I have both, and my DC charger doesn't fully charge properly...but the A/C does every time...

I finally got it to charge. Hopefully it willl continue to work. Battery is ok. I use the house charger it came with.

My new Samsung was doing that. I tried a new charger, but was no dice. Took it back, they requested a new phone, and no more problem.......
