Ccw?

I guess that everyone forgets that this is a VOLUNTARY response forum. If you don't want everyone to know you carry, don't tell them. Response to this thread is an opportunity, not a requirement.

it was my thread. I have no idea what happened to it. The way i look at it is that in IN CCW's are public record if someone wants to know who has them its just a website away.

Here in NY we're not that advanced. If you want to know if someone has a permit you have to visit the county permit office, in the county where that person lives, and explain to them, in person, why you want to know that info. They aren't an overly friendly bunch either.

I have a CCW, and carry a gun most of the time, I have several friends that do too. I carry it in a Fobus holster, Trust me, unless I want you to get it out of the holster, you will have great difficulty doing it.. Anyone with a Fobus holster will tell you the same thing.

Holster

Ditto on what fordman said,

I carry my Kimber 1911 in a Blackhawk Serpa auto-lock.
It's all carbon fiber, comes with both belt loop and paddle configerations and unless your reeeally familure with it your NOT guna get my gun out of it!
I use the paddle option that slides over the belt and inside the pants and has three adjustable hooks that grab under the belt from both sides, "I" have a hard time taking it off.

Jim,

I've had several replies disappear.

It happens often enough that I copy and save
any really lengthy technical ones before I post them

if wisconsin allowed cc i would be carrying a wilson tactical .45 everyday....damn fibs making it tough for us wisconsinites....

( fibs being Fucking Illinois Bastards, damn chicago lawmakers making shitty firearms laws)

Had a CCW for several years. The only time I carried was while hunting. I could hide a Ruger blackhawk .41 mag with a 61/2 inch barrel under my wool coat.

Beware the man who shoots only one gun, often. He's probably good at it.
