Cant sleep, Prayers for family please

Well i have been trying to go to sleep for the past 3hours but i got to much on my mind, lost my grandpa tonight so we have to go make arrangements tommorow and do paperwork...... but we live in northern arkansas and we have to be in louisiana by tommorow after noon.and the whole family has been fighting for like the past two years. on top of that i have a friend down for the summer and she is going to be leaving soon so im porbably gonna miss her last week here, and i had an act test scheduled for this weekend and this is last chance i have to get my score high enough for a scholarship, which i desperately need, and i have a ton of stuff i have to do for college,and i still need to find a new job. and my friends mom finally got moved from being in icu for almost two weeks to a normal room but still havent heard how shes doing.

i could use some form of stress reliever. i dont know what the purpose of this post was but i think it helped a little already

Go take the ACT and hang out with your girlfriend. If I were your grandpa, that's what I would tell you. Grandpa's time has passed and now it's your time. If missing the ACT could cost you a position in life then you absolutely should not miss it.

I am sorry to hear about your grandpa and you are in my thoughts and prayers. It is not your responsibility to make arrangements for your grandpa's funeral because it is your grandmas and aunts and uncles responsibility. So I agree with Will that you need to stay home and take your ACT this weekend and spend some time with your friend. Since it is already Thursday, the soonest they can probably have a funeral will be Monday, although there are more people who are having them on Sunday. Ask you parents to plan for a Monday funeral and then you can drive down on Sunday afternoon. Either way, you have plenty of time to get there for services. I don't know what the family fight is over, but I hope that all of the sides can at least be civil with one another.

well thing is i need the closure. plus with the family the way it is who ever can help need to. The act is only looking at about 3k fir school cause all im doing is going to technical college to get my certifications. I can find another way to get my college paid for and not miss something important.

Heavenly Father, hear our prayers. We know that sometimes we have to live through the rain, to see the beauty in the sun emerging from the clouds. As rockin goes through this hard time, please give him spiritual and psychological healing Lord as he is being stretched to his limits. Please give him guidance, as he has many choices coming up soon between his friends, family, tests, work, etc. If you call him to do something other than he had planned, please make this visible to him. ("Whoever has my commands and obeys them, he is the one who loves me. He who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love him and show myself to him." John 14:21) We pray for physical healing for all of the sickness in rockin's family, Lord. Give them the strength they need to fight through their illness, and give the doctor's the wisdom to treat them. We pray for emotional and spiritual healing in the light of a recent passing, Lord. Although it is an incredibly tough battle to be going through, we realize that now they can walk with you, instead of battling the devil everyday, in your name. In your name we pray, Amen.

Been in slumps like this, my uncle died 3 days after I left for staying up there for Christmas. In the hospital for a few weeks, they determined he died instantly when a blood clot from his leg went straight to his head and blocked bloodflow and killed him.

I will miss him a lot.

I see you have a lot behind ya, but I realized that as long as your honest about it, and walk through it head high, things do come out in good favor. =)

Fortunate for us, my Grandparents (Dad's folks) made the decision for us, UNKNOWINGLY to us Grandkids, that when they passed, they didn't want embaumed, no services, and buried within 48hrs. Which in retrospect was best for us, as we remember them as we last saw them 4yrs before their deaths, and didn't witness their deteriation from age,demise/illness, lost them at the ripe young age of 87 (Ma) & 86 (Pop). My Grandpa (Mom's Dad) we lost in 80 to cancer of the bone maro & emphasima (TERRIBLE to see) and Grandma will be 88 next month. UNFORTUNATELY for us, GOD called Mom home 7yrs ago at the ripe young age of 64.

So, I agree with the quoted posts in this comment, as those that have gone before us, are in a BETTER PLACE, and I believe we will see them again when our time comes!

Decision is yours kiddo.............whatever you feel you have to do, but I personally have NEVER played in "family politics"! I answer to GOD & my Wife, pretty much in that order.

That's really rough man. My prayers are definitely with you and your family. The Lord places challenges in our lives for us all to get through. Put your trust in Him and everything will work out for the best in the long run.
