Can't sell it

i would lose 50% of my money if i sold my truck and then would have to walk.. soooo no, not selling.

I will keep mine forever, I like it and couldn't justify selling it. I am looking for a Jeep to handle offroad duties however.

The reason that I got my "little" Ranger is because it gets about as good a mileage as a POS car, has a frame, has a function etc.. Get a cheap little short box, reg cab, 4 cyl 5 speed Ranger and be done with it. My weekly commute is 700 miles in it.

you sir...... need a golf tdi with a 5spd.

I actually looked at one and drove it. I love the concept, but with the difference of over $14,000 between a TDI with 10K on it and my Ranger with 10K on it of the same year, I can do an awful lot of driving to make up that kind of difference. The TDI gets ~50mpg. My Ranger gets 30-32 and occasionally 34. PLUS I can do anything with the Ranger whereas the TDI (I was looking at the Jetta) is only a car. IF I were to get into a wreck on the interstate with the Ranger with a full frame, it's survivable. With a little car?? Maybe not so much.

Picked up a young guy and his better half yesterday on the highway. His new-to-him Ranger's rearend had locked up. He told me that they have an almost new little Corolla. It's getting repaired after hitting a RACCOON! Says it took the front bumper off, took out the headlight, grill and the washer resevoir. Give me a Ranger any day!

ive ran over armadillos without getting a scratch in my truck, a freind had one tear up his fender...

Gas prices are dropping in OK. If only they can keep dropping to about $1/gal, then it wouldnt matter what i drive. Damn, i remember those days.

Once you own a Ranger, nothing else really fits right anymore. Why is that?

I have had Rangers. If I was in the market for a used beat em up I would buy another ranger. but it just no longer fits the lifestyle.

The attachment to these trucks is an odd thing, I've fallen victim to it as well. My truck has served me well and fits my needs perfectly, I plan on driving it for many years to come.

My beater car is a Fox 5.0 GT w/a 5spd. 260k on the original engine and runs like a top, still has enough power to get me in trouble.
