Can't Get Drums Back On

Put the drums on and then apply the brakes a few times to 'seat' the shoes, then see how much drag you have and if they are too tight or need adjustment.

Did you disasemble the adjusters and clean them. Those get pretty nasty with brake dust and corrosion. Try unscrewing them out all the way, cleaning the threads male and female, and antiseizing them. Might give you the room you need. Worst comes to worse, you take some material of the friction, or even the lower pivot point on the shoe's plate. Not sure how sketchy that would be. I'd start with adjusters tho.
