can i run a fullsize f150 transmission and transfer case

lol, theres a loophole that i found, wont work for you tho. But if your doner engine runs clean then you will be fine. Im actualy going to be in ptbo tonight. How experienced are you with this kinda work.

im good with all the fab work and wiring and makin it run my main goal is to get it to pass etest im not home tonite

cool, well, if you pull everything from the doner car and just transplant all the wireing then it should pass. As long as the engine is in good runing order theres no reason why they wont test it. It will be tested under the modified catagory anyways. Mine passed once but after then new engine with a different cam it fails the curb idle test. Have you done anything like this befor?

the truck and everything runs mint i have every wire out of the f150 the engin is over 20 years old so it may not run as clean lol but im rebuilden most of it i have been workin on engines for awhile ive removed engines before and put the same one back just havent done this v8 conversion

well, if your re building it then it should be fine. just use all the smog related krap that came wth the engine. droping a V8 into a ranger is a bit harder then a bold in engine swap. I ended up moding my engine xmember and using truck engine mounts but aparently using convertable stang mounts works well too like i said, if your every interested you can check out my truck.

alrite well i see alot of people usin the original ranger engine mounts but yea i would be interested in seeing your setup

you mean people are using the V6 engine mounts? how, they wont bolt to the block?

Look on the tech library, Mine i've used stock 4.0L engine mounts. to bolt it to the engine i've used 1/4 inch steel plate. i Have drilled the hole on the passenger side of the crossemember 1 1/2 inch back from the original position.

and they are holding up alright? I inda figured that some serious wheelin might rip thins up a bit. Ive actualy never heard ppl talk about useing the V6 mounts. Lean somthing new every day

if u look at bigblock rangers website he used them and he has a diagram for the engine mounts and i made them today im gonna get my rad support out tommorow and set my motor in do you have to use the dual sump oil pan?

nice to see people from canada lol i feel bad for you to i lve in wingham its on the edge of bruce and huron but we have no emissons up hear its so nice im thinking about going to a v8 in mine what you get for mpg???? and in us or canada mpg just say witch one us 3.785 lpg canada 4.55 lpg it realy can mess with people

im doin the worst part of it all wiring the motor good thing my teacher knows electrical lol but i made all my own custom mounts for the truck:icon_welder: and used the f150 oil pan not the dual hump:headbang:
