I was at the local pull-a-part yesterday and came across a V8 Ranger. I snagged the oil filter adapter off it and also the mounts that bolt to the motor. The mounts are just flat steel with slots for the bolts and alignment pins. These mounts look to be a production item. I didnt have a universal socket to get the rubber mounts off and figured I could find factory mounts to attach the brackets to with no such luck. I checked all the company's listed in the V8 swap section and these mounts are different than those. I wont be able to get back out there to get the rubber pads till this weekend and HOPE they dont crush it before I get there. Any ideas?

If they were just flat steel plates bolted to the rubber mounts, they were home made. And the rubbers were the stock V6 or 4 banger mounts.

They look almost identical exept there is two slots on one of the brackets. I am a pretty good fabricator but these mount are perfect and they was powdercoated, so if they are home made I'm really impressed. I looked at factory V6 mounts and they are different, they are a solid mount so 4 cylinder are out too. I can make these work with the 2.9 mounts but I really didn't want to mess with them since they are so nice. I will try and get some pics up.

i got a set of mounts out of james duff for my windsor , the had these blocks with slotsfor adjustment ther powdercoated and pro welded maybe there it
