can a D28 handle v8 and 35s?

and i have deffinitly decided to not run 35s with the 28 so i think im just gonna leave the 31s for now and not put the lift on and just wait till some more extra money comes in then decied what im gonna do. (and hope the 28 dont break untill then) hell my buddy has a D60 front and 70 rear that i can get fairly cheap...maybe ill have 40's.....or maybe im dreamin but i have no idea what im gonna do right now. what would you guys do?

id leave it sitting where it is on the 31's and throw a d35 under it. its the easiest swap, gains you a ton of strength, and from the sounds of it, this isnt a hardcore wheeling rig anyway...more of a weekend worrior. a stockish height ranger on 31's with one or both ends locked is a very formitable off-roader. plus if you refrain from jacking it way up, you can still maintain some decent street perfromance.

If you think you need more strength than what a D35 or D44 (stock) can provide, the 60/70 would definitely be the way to go for sure.
I couldn't care less about chromoly shafts and other bling being available for small axles, myself (which is at least $600 for a GOOD set of shafts that would actually make some difference, plus another $300-400 for decent u-joints), that kind of money is much better put into getting one-ton stuff.

Anyway, good luck with the project. Sounds like it'll be a cool setup no matter which way you go with it. That AWD setup will come in real handy on rainy days. :icon_thumby:

yesir its my daily driver and weekend warrior. its got 3 inch body and 2 inch suspension right now so it sits nice but id love to get back to 35s. i got posi in the back and it still rips through some gnarly shit with the tsl's and v8 without the front driveshaft in. how do i put pics up on here?? ill throw up some pics so you guys can help me decide!

One way is to upload your pics to a site like www.photobucket.com and then you can link them directly into your post by copying & pasting the "" url of the the pic.
Try to resize them if they are bigger than 800x600 pixels though, it won't screw up the width of the forum page as bad that way (makes it easier to see) [img]http://www.therangerstation.com/forums/images/icons/icon12.gif

(I think Photobucket has an option you can set to do that automatically if I remember right)

The Dana 35 will be good.
