Hello Everyone, I am reaching out to ask if anyone can help me with my power steering flush and rid my system of bubbles on my 1999 Ford Ranger (2wd, 4.0 liter). I have installed a new pump, and both high pressure and low pressure hoses along with the all rubber black hose with the clips that were on the old hose. I have been on this for a few days on and off after work. I have lifted the truck up and gone lock to lock with the truck and still get bubbles, I have also replaced the seals on the high pressure hose . I have had the truck running while on the jack and checked for leaks and there are none. What ideas do you have for anyone of you out there that I may have not done. Thank you to all of you.

with the truck off. jack it back up and lock to lock it 10 or so more times

likely a rack issue if its getting entrained but should be dripping if its exterior.

Hello Bobby, thank you. It looks good for awhile then a bubble or two pop back up. I was told that you can leave it overnight with the power steering cap off and it will burp the remaining bubbles out of it? It also seems that the power steering (ATF) is high when the truck is off after turn from lock to lock and when you turn the truck on it is low almost to where you can see the white inside.

Also there has been no leaks with the vehicle on or off. I have even had it jacked up with the truck running and no leaks at all.

Bobby, I just attempted to turn from lock to lock and at about 1.5 complete lock to lock, the fluid is at the brim ready to spill over. Now, I can bet that as soon as I tune the truck in, it will end up going down low. I have already had to siphon some out before doing the lock to lock earlier today.

ok....keep going

spill it over.

keep spilling it over.

when it quits spilling over it will start to go down.

before you start it be ready with fluid. maybe unplug the coil and crank it a bit and fill it....then crank it a bit and top it off again...then start it and set level.

or start and stop it quick and fill it....dont let it suck air.
